Aamir Khan’s super hit film Lagaan will be screened at the Warwickshire County Cricket ground Edgbaston, Birmingham, in Britain on July 4.
It might be recalled that British Prime-minister Tony Blair had met Aamir Khan before the film was taken to the Oscars.
The screening has been jointly organized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), and the British Film Institute (BFI) two days before India take on Sri Lanka in a one day match of a tri-series competition.
The screening is being organized to promote cricket as the football world cup gets underway at the same time in Korea and Japan and the organizers don't want stadia collections to get affected.
