Ravishing Raveena is playing a lawyer in her first film as a producer, Pehchaan, a courtroom thriller co-starring Vinod Khanna, Sonali Kulkarni and Rati Agnihotri.
Raveena, who is sporting a new hairstyle for the film, says she wanted her production debut to be ‘something special’. Yet, Pehchaan is no big budget movie. It’s a film being made on a skimpy budget.
The film, being directed by Sharbani Deodhar, has Raveena playing a lawyer, who takes on her own attorney father-in-law (played by Vinod Khanna) to court and fights a legal battle over the mysterious suicide of the bahu of a highly placed political family.
Pehchaan is Raveena’s second film with a woman director after Kalpana Lajmi’s Daman for which she bagged a National Award.
