Manisha blanches as Ek Chhoti Si Love Story hits theatres

Nepalese beauty Manisha Koirala might have to eat the humble pie for the time being as the director of her controversial film Ek Chhoti Si Love Story is wasting no time to ensure its immediate release.
Director Shashilal Nair is using the present opportunity to his advantage. Now that Bombay High Court has rejected Manisha’s plea against the removal of the alleged ‘objectionable scenes depicting partial nudity’ from the film, Nair is planning to go in for a limited release of the controversial film in some Mumbai theatres.
Nair says that his decision to release the film immediately was more pre-emptive as Manisha is threatening to take the matter to the Supreme Court.
Nair did a partial release of Ek Chhoti Si Love Story in Pune on August 31 and in Mumbai on September 1.
He is planning a nationwide release of the film on September 6, which he says is also his birthday.
