Ramp scorcher Jesse Randhawa will make her acting debut in a film to be directed by Anurag Kashyap.
Anurag, whose directorial debut Paanch is yet to hit the theatres, has reportedly started to work on his next project. The film, tentatively titled Gulaal, will also serve as the launch pad for supermodel Jesse Randhawa, known for her 'cool image' and feline grace.
The film, believed to be centered around the lives of a few youngsters, has Jesse playing the central character. Her costars are the 'Road' girl Antara Mali, Ananya Khare, Raja Chowdhary and K K Menon.
Anurag, who wrote the script for Ramgopal Varma's Satya, regards Gulaal as a very special film that moves on different planes simultaneously.
The film’s story is set in a present-day Rajasthan college where students are exposed to the politics of their leader. Against this backdrop, Anurag explores the themes of unrequited love, jealousy and betrayal.
The film is likely to hit the theatres early next year.
