Sanjay Gupta, the director of Kaante, is pulling strings to make sure that the film is well received at the box-office when it releases on December 6.
Sanjay says he wants to clear all the misconceptions regarding Kaante prior to the film's release.
The first thing he wants to do is meet the Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray to dissuade the Shiv Sainiks from disrupting the release of the film.
Sena men have threatened to let lose the snakes in the theatres during the screening of the film when it releases. This decision was taken in light of the alleged taped conversation between junior Dutt and underworld gangster Chhota Shakeel.
Besides, Gupta also wants to clear the controversy regarding the film's funding by the underworld.
He states that Kaante is "partly funded by Pritish Nandy Communications." He adds that the other two investors in the film are - Raju Patel, one of the most reputed NRI businesspersons based in the US, and former Tennis player Vijay Amritraj.
