Raveena joins the battle against cruelty to animals

Ravishing Raveena Tandon is using her celebrity status to arouse awareness against cruelty to animals.
Raveena, whose Wah Tera Kya Kehna released this week, figures in a print advertisement launched by the People for Ethical Treatment for Animals (PETA).
The advertisement shows Raveena donning a black T-shirt and blue jeans and posing alongside a cow named Jamuna. A slogan saying, “Steer clear of animal cruelty” appears in the background of the ad.
Says Raveena: “Jamuna and other animals like it are as gentle as their abusers are violent.” She makes a plea that animal abuses at the hands of corrupt skin and meat traders must be stopped.
Other Bollywood stars who have earlier participated in similar campaigns include Akshaye Khanna, Manisha Koirala, Juhi Chawla and Om Puri.
