Actress Tabu is reported to be playing the love interest of Sanjay Dutt in director Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Munnabhai MBBS.
After a poor run of his last film ‘Mission Kashmir’, Vinod Chopra is busy nowadays making his next film, which is believed to be a romantic-comic thriller.
To play the lead role in the film, Vinod had reportedly approached Shahrukh Khan but finalized Sanjay Dutt after negotiations with SRK fell apart.
Chopra had some apprehensions about the film’s heroine as it was deemed a difficult and author-backed role.
Now it is learnt that versatile National Award winning actress Tabu is the chosen one to play Dutt’s love interest in the film.
It may be mentioned that Tabu is also paring with Sanjay Dutt for Raman Kumar’s patriotic film titled Sarhad Paar.
