Having played a number of villainous roles on the big screen, model-turned-actor Rahul Dev is playing a super cop for the first time in director Kushan Nandy's suspense thriller '88 Antop Hill'.
Rahul made his entry into Bollywood with a negative role as the psychotic killer in Padam Kumar-directed 'Champion'. He essayed an almost similar role in director Indra Kumar's Aashique.
He was seen playing a positive role in Guddu Dhanoa's '23rd March, 1931 Shaheed' but the role (that of freedom fighter Sukhdev) was very marginal.
Rahul seems to be going for an image change as he is playing a cop in Sarvodaya Visuals' '88 Antop Hill'. The film has Rahul playing a tough and conscientious cop, who is a "man of minimum words but goes about his job confidently," says Rahul.
The film also stars Atul Kulkarni, Suchitra Pillai, Shweta Menon and new-find Jasmine in supporting roles. It is slated to hit the theatres on January 3.
