Actress Tabu seems to be maintaining a right balance between the commercial and offbeat films in her kitty.
She won the National Award for acting in Madhur Bhandarkar’s semi-realistic film titled ‘Chandni Bar’. However, Tabu, known mostly for playing sensible and realistic roles on screen, has not bid adieu to Bollywood kitsch.
She is reported to have signed director Guddu Dhanoa’s next film titled Hawa.
The film, believed to be a mystery thriller, revolves around her and two kids in eerie surroundings.
Tabu says she “wanted to do Hawa before beginning Bengali director Gautam Ghosh's film Abar Aranya,” which is a sequel to Satyajit Ray's Aranyer Din Ratri.
About Hawa she says it is a “scary movie that will send a chill down the viewer’s spine.”
