Rahul Khanna, the star of internationally acclaimed 'Bollywood Hollywood', will be seen playing a marginal but crucial role in director Michael Hoffman's 'The Emperor's Club'.

The film is about a professor of Greek and Roman classics (Kevin Kline) in a posh New England (USA) boys' boarding school called the St. Benedicts.

Rahul makes a brief appearance in the latter half of the film as Deepak Mehta, the adult reincarnation of one of the students at the school.

The other students in the school are being played by Hollywood actors including Patrick Dempsey, Joel Gretsch and Steven Culp.

Grapevine has it that Michael Hoffman offered Khanna the role in the film after seeing him in Deepa Mehta's 'Earth'. In a rare instance, Khanna was not asked to audition for the role.
