Singer Sonu Nigam is reported to have bagged the hero role in director Rajat Mukherji's next film which is tentatively titled 'Love in Nepal'.
The film, currently being shot in the resort town of Pokhara, 200 km west from Kathmandu, has the upcoming Nepalese actress Jharana Bajracharya (who has starred in about a dozen Nepalese films) playing the female lead.
South Indian actress Flora Saini would also be seen in a supporting role in the film. Besides, about 10 other Nepali artistes are also getting a break in the film to be produced by T P Agrawal.
Rajat Mukherji, who recently directed Vivek Oberoi in 'Road', is planning to shoot almost 70 per cent of 'Love in Nepal', in different locations in Pokhara and the mountainous holiday spots of Mustang district, also in western Nepal, in a month-long schedule.
Sonu Nigam was earlier seen playing a cameo role in multi-starrer Jaani Dushman.
