The release of Sanjay Gupta’s much-awaited film Kaante has been put off by a week. The movie will now hit the theatres on December 13.
It is a film on which many hopes are pinned. A multi-starrer with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Kumar Gaurav and Lucky Ali, the movie is the story of a gang of intrepid bank robbers who try to pull off a grand heist.
The film was earlier slated to hit the marquee on December 6, but now the release has been postponed by a week, as the negative of the film had not reached Mumbai on time, so as to have it censored.
The censor board officials will watch the film on December 2, Monday.
The film will be released with approx. 800 prints worldwide. There is also likelihood that the film’s dubbed Japanese version might be released simultaneously.
