The release of Sanjay Gupta’s Kaante has been postponed yet again as the film’s distributors are wary of the movie’s release on 13th of this month.
Kaante has been dogged by repeated delays ever since the movie was canned several months ago. The film was initially slated to hit the marquee in August but the controversy over its leading actor Sanjay Dutt’s alleged links with the underworld had delayed the film’s release for months.
Later, it was announced that the movie would hit the theatres on December 6. But once again its producer Raju Patel postponed the movie to December 13, as the film could not get a timely clearance from the censorboard.
And now, once again, the film’s release has been put off for another week as its overseas distributors deem December 13 to be a ‘jinxed’ date.
Heeding the concern of the ‘superstitious’ distributors, the film’s producer has now set December 20 as the final day for the film’s release.
Kaante is a crime thriller about a gang of bank robbers (played by Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Lucky Ali, Kumar Gaurav and Mahesh Manjrekar) who plan to pull off a grand heist.
