Petite Shamita Shetty has been roped in by producer Boney Kapoor to play a marginal role in his celluloid production Bewafa.
The movie, being directed by Dharmesh Darshan, has Shamita in a role that has shades of gray.
This role was initially offered to Bipasha Basu, who rejected the offer after which Boney approached a number of actresses in Bollywood before finally zeroing on Shamita.
Bewafa boasts of a huge star cast that includes Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpai, Kareena Kapoor, Susmitha Sen.
The movie is believed to be the remake of B.R.Chopra´s yesteryear hit Gumrah.
