Actor Raj Babbar’s daughter Juhi, who made her Bollywood debut last Friday, is reported to have said that she is not in the rat race for the top spot in filmdom.
Born in a family of actors, Juhi developed interest in acting at an early age. She started with acting in theatre and made her stage debut alongside her mother (theatre artist Nadira Babbar) in the play titled Begum Jaan.
It was Juhi’s histrionics in this play that impressed her father. Accordingly, he decided to make a film titled Kash Aap Humare Hote with Juhi in the female lead role opposite singer Sonu Nigam.
The film, which was released last week, seems to be doing well at theatres.
For the time being, Juhi is playing the wait-and-watch game before lapping up any more acting offers from Bollywood. She wants to be known for her acting rather than the number of hit films.
“I am not in the race for the top spot. Rather, I want creative satisfaction from my work and want to remain focused on my acting career both in films and theatre,” she is quoted as having said.
