The ongoing Cricket World Cup has cast a shadow over the biggest film producing industry in the world.
The cine theatres in India are wearing a deserted look, thanks to the cricket mania raging among people. Not a single important film has hit the marquee in last two weeks. And those Bollywood producers who had plans to release their films during this time are having second thoughts now.
Raveena Tandon was the first one to put off the release of her maiden home production 'Stumped'. The actress was earlier planning to release the film on February 21 but postponed the movie in view of the much-awaited India-Pak match on March 1.
Even Jackie Shroff is reported to be having second thoughts about releasing his Sandhya.
Moreover, Bollywood stars are packing their bags and heading to South Africa for the coming matches. The likes of Sunil Shetty and Arjun Rampal are already there, and more are likely to join them in the coming days.
