Encouraged by the good run of Saathiya, filmmaker Mani Ratnam is rumored to have signed Vivek Oberoi for his next film.
Mani Ratnam recently produced Shaad Ali-directed Saathiya that starred Rani Mukherji opposite Vivek. The film, albeit not a hit, did rake in respectable revenue at the box-office.
Now Ratnam is thinking of starting another project, which he will direct himself. To act in the movie Ratnam is learnt to have approached Vivek who is presently shooting for Hollywood director Roland Joffe’s period drama ‘The Invaders’.
Although it is not confirmed that Vivek will act in the movie, the actor is likely to give his nod after he finishes shooting for Joffe’s movie that has Aishwarya Rai opposite him.
