It has been a long time that Kajol was last seen in a film, Karan Johar’s ‘K3G’ to be precise. Kajol has been off screens ever since and has well settled after giving birth to a girl in April. And now, it is her sister’s turn to face the arclights.
Kajol’s younger sister Tanisha makes her debut with Ssshhhh.
Directed by Pawan Kaul, Ssshhhh is a murder mystery starring Dino Morea opposite Tanisha.
Produced by Cinevista, Ssshhhh involves seven youngsters who travel all over the country and abroad.
Tanisha is granddaughter of Shobhana Samarth, daughter of Tanuja, niece of Nutan, sister of Kajol, and cousin of Mohnish Bahl. Her filmmaker father Shomu Mukherjee's family tree is no less. Her paternal grandfather, late Sashadhar Mukherjee, owned Filmalaya studios. She is also the niece of actor Joy Mukherjee and cousin of Rani Mukherjee.
Originally, Tanisha was to make her debut in a Rajshri film that did not materialise. She was also considered for a project with ad filmmaker Ajit Pal opposite Karan Nath. But due to some financial problems, the film got scrapped.
With Ssshhhh, Tanisha will finally arrive in the Hindi film industry, but will she able to fill the void created by Kajol’s absence? Only time will tell.
