On her recent visit to militancy-hit Northeast India, actress Raveena Tandon spoke of peace and said that the ban on Bollywood films by extremist groups in that region was unjust.
Raveena was in Northeast for a two-day visit to mingle with children in the SOS Village and travel to the famous Kamakhya Mandir.
Later, at a press conference, Raveena spoke against the ban on Bollywood movies by extremist groups in that region.
While some believe that Raveena has ‘stirred up the hornets nest’ and are concerned about the actress’ security following her statement, but Raveena is taking the controversy in her own stride.
Saying that her stand wasn’t premeditated, Raveena says: “The Northeast region is truly beautiful and untouched by commercialism. Unfortunately, it's being devastated because of militancy. I wish things were not as bad and the region's problem was addressed.”
