Raveena Tandon will make her small screen debut in a teleserial to be directed by acclaimed Bengali filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh.
Having made her place in Bollywood as an actress and having recently ventured into film production, Raveena is now all set for her stint on the small screen.
The actress will be seen acting in a tele-serial titled Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam. Based on Bimal Mitra's novel of the same title, the serial will have Raveena in one of the title roles.
Ghosh plans to shoot the entire serial in Calcutta.
The telecast of the serial will commence on Sahara TV by March next year.
It may be mentioned that Toronto based filmmaker Deepa Mehta is also making a feature film on the same subject with Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor in the leading roles.
