Bipasha Basu was supposed to play the leading lady in director Indra Kumar’s next movie. However, former Miss Universe Lara Dutta has now replaced the sensuous Basu girl.
Lara’s acting career in Bollywood seems to be getting a boost lately. Having come to filmmakers’ notice in her role as a village belle in the recently released Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, the gorgeous actress has clinched a number of projects.
The latest one to fall in her kitty is Indra Kumar’s movie, which is tentatively titled Khujli.
Indra had earlier signed Bipasha to play the film’s heroine but then replaced her later with Lara. Although the reason for Bipasha’s departure from the movie is not known, it is being said that Indra was not happy with Bipasha’s linguistic shortcomings and decided to replace her.
The movie is a multi-starrer with a number of Bollywood stars including Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Amrita Arora and newcomer Genelia D'Souza.
