The longest running film in Indian cinema Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is coming in the form of a book.
Anupama Chopra, who wrote 'Sholay – The Making Of A Classic', has now written ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, which will hit the bookstores soon.
'Sholay – The Making Of A Classic', sold over 10,000 copies and won the National Award for the best book on Cinema.
The book examines the DDLJ phenomenon – the making of the film, why it went on to become the longest running film in Indian cinema and how its success left an impact on the Hindi film industry.
In the book director Aditya Chopra speaks at length about the genesis of the film and its production.
The others interviewed include the lead pair, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, and actors Amrish Puri and Farida Jalal.
