After playing Hrithik Roshan's mother in the hit Koi Mil Gaya, Rekha has agreed to play the role of Salman Khan's mother in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period romantic drama, Bajirao Mastani.
The buzz is that Rekha has given her consent for her role as ´Peshwa´ Salman´s mother.
Bhansali may start the shooting of Bajirao Mastani, in November.
Initially Bhansali was to start the shooting of Bajirao Mastani in May 2004, because he wanted to make 'Black' in a start to finish schedule. But to his utter dismay, he got no confirmation from Amitabh Bachchan, who had to star in 'Black'. So he has decided to go ahead with the shooting of Bajirao Mastani.
Salman is currently in Mauritius shooting for Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and is expected to be back in November.
Bajirao Mastani also stars Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee.
Rekha played the role of Salman's sister-in-law in his first film Biwi Ho To Aisi.
