With September 29 drawing closer, preparations are in full swing for Karisma’s wedding to the Delhi-based businessman Sunjay Kapur.
The toll of the wedding bells is near and nigh for Karisma. The bride-to-be’s wedding trousseau is ready. Designed by fashion designer Manish Malhotra, Karisma trousseau has churidars, ghagra-cholis, salwar-kameezes mostly in soft colours and embellished with chikan-work, sequins and kota work.
The venue of wedding will be the residence of Karisma’s late grandfather, legend Raj Kapoor. The ceremony will be held according to Sikh rites.
Two days prior to the marriage – that is on September 27 – the groom will host a party. Then on September 28, there will be the mehendi party from the bride’s side.
It is learnt that Karisma and sister Kareena will wear saris for the groom’s party and lehengas for the mehendi party.
On her marriage day, Karisma’s will wear bridal jewellery set entirely made up of diamonds.
Various dishes ranging from Thai, Italian, North Indian and Mughlai will be served on the wedding day.
