Asha Bhosle, Bollywood diva, will participate in two live in concerts with pop star Shaan, in the UK next month.
The first of the two concerts will be held at Nottingham Arena on Oct. 11 and the second at Wembley arena in London the next day, Farhath Hussain, organiser of the concerts announced in London last night.
Asha Bhosle, who has sung many classical and romantic ballads, as well as sexy songs, and Indipop tunes, is winner of the Indian film industry's highest honour, the Dada Saheb Phalke award.
Sister of the great Lata Mangeshkar, Asha, who turned 70, this month, has more variety in her repertoire than any other playback singers. At her age she is more youthful than ever before singing some superb fast yet sonorous songs.
A versatile artiste in every sense of the word, Asha has sung in virtually every Indian language, and in Russian and Malay. She has also sung Rabindra Sangeet, and has worked with the 'bhangra' group Alaap, Baba Sehgal, 'Boyband Code Red' and Boy George.
Pop group 'Cornershop' dedicated a song to her called "Brimful Of Asha", an international hit which was later remixed by Fatboy Slim.
