Manoj Bajpai will be seen playing the leading role in two films by writer-turned-director Neeraj Pathak. One of the films is titled Surkh: The Bloody Battle.
Neeraj, who has penned movies like Subhash Ghai's Pardes and Anees Bazmee's Deewangee, has decided to don the director’s mantle.
He will make his directorial debut with a realistic movie that will bring to light the plight of a suppressed community, post-independence. The movie has Manoj in the leading role.
Moreover, even before the release of his first movie, Neeraj has already begun working on his second project which is tentatively titled Surkh: The Bloody Battle.The movie, believed to be an action thriller, will again have Bajpai in the leading role. It is a two-hero project.
It seems that Neeraj is pretty impressed with Bajpai’s acting skills. That is why Manoj was his first choice for the second project as well.
“Manoj has a range which only a few of the contemporary actors have,” Neeraj is quoted to have said.
Manoj will soon be seen playing a sinner seeking redemption in Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s partition drama Pinjar.
