The release of Urmila Matondkar and Manoj Bajpai starrer Pinjar, which was slated to hit the theatres on 10th October, has been postponed to 24th October.
Though no official reason has given about the postponement of the date, the release of big films like Baghban and Khel is being cited as the reason.
Set in Indo-Pak partition times, Pinjar has Urmila playing a rape victim and is based on a novel by Amrita Pritam. Pinjar depicts riots, mayhem, human sufferings and hope.
Pinjar also stars Sanjay Suri, Priyanshu, Sandali Sinha, Isha Koppikar.
Directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Pinjar has music by Uttam Singh and Gulzar has penned the lyrics.
Those who have seen the rushes of Pinjar, swear by the performance of Urmila and are hoping for a National Award for her.
