Celina Jaitley, Mahima Chowdhary and Simran have endorsed the jewellery by D’damas along with some Bollywood actors to help the families of film workers who have met with some accident during filmmaking.
When Vivek Oberoi could fracture his leg while riding a motorbike during a film shoot and similarly Aishwarya Rai could suffer a leg injury, then think about those unknown names who undergo many such accidents behind the camera. While Vivek and Ash have all it takes to get back to their normal lives again, such privilege is not for those minions whose livelihood has been affected by some accident while making of a film.
Now some of the Bollywood stars have stepped forward to help these unfortunate ones.
Celina, Mahima, Simran along with actors Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar have endorsed the 'Glitterati Collection' jewellery by D'damas.
A part of the proceeds from the sales, will go to a charitable trust created for film workers whose livelihood are cut short by accidents on the sets.
Speaking to reporters during the function marking the endorsement of ‘Glitterati Collection’ by the stars, Akshay said: “it was time for us to pay back to the industry.”
The pieces of the works of jewellery will feature designs suggested by these stars and will also bear their autographs. Each piece is priced upwards of Rs 15,000. The collection will be available at leading jewellery outlets across the country.
'Glitterati Collection' goes on sale in November this year.
