After playing the leading role in Rituparno Ghosh’s Chokher Bali, Aishwarya Rai has now replaced Kareena Kapoor for the director’s next movie.
Ghosh says even while he was shooting for Chokher Bali he had asked Ash to act in his next movie which will be his first one in Hindi. However, Ash being quite busy with Gurinder Chaddha’s ‘Bride and Prejudice’ could not do the movie.
“So I approached Kareena who looked good in Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon,” says Ghosh.
But now, to Ghosh’s surprise it turns out that Kareena too is busy with a number of projects while Ash on the other hand is almost through with shooting Chaddha’s movie. So this time when Ghosh approached Ash the actress did not turn down his offer.
It is confirmed that Ash will now play the leading role along side Ajay Devgan in Rituparno’s next flick.
The yet-to-be-titled movie will be shot just in an apartment in Kolkata over a span of 15 days.
