Rituparno Ghosh’s first Hindi project, starring Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgan, will be based on an interesting story of two estranged lovers who meet on a rainy afternoon.
Fresh after the good run of his Chokher Bali, Ghosh is gearing to start his first Hindi project – based on an emotional story of two separated lovers (played by Ash and Ajay). To be produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, the movie is titled ‘Raincoat’.
This nostalgic encounter between the two brings to fore their past differences, their ego clashes and their inevitable liking for each other.
Ghosh is reported to be planning to shoot the movie in a 15-day start-to-finish schedule, some time around January/February 2004. Besides Ash and Ajay the movie will also have a number of supporting characters.
