After playing a rape victim in Pinjar and an emotionally repressed girl in Tehzeeb, Urmila Matondkar will be seen playing an innocent woman behind bars in Ramgopal Varma's next production.
The movie, titled Ek Haseena Thi, has Urmila playing a modern girl who is wrongly accused in a crime that she did not commit. The film is about the ordeal and trauma this girl goes through in the prison.
Saif Ali Khan plays the male lead opposite Urmila in the movie.
What's special about Ek Haseena Thi is that it is the first Hindi film to be produced by Hollywood's leading production house 20th Century Fox.
The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on December 26.
