Neha Dhupia thought that her career was on the right track when she was offered the lead role in Deepak Shivdasani’s ‘Julie’. The former beauty queen readily accepted the offer to play the role of a high-society call girl.
According to Neha, ‘Julie’ demands exposure and she has shed her clothes for she believes in exhibiting her assets if the script demands. The posters of ‘Julie’ where Neha is shown sitting on a bed with her upper back fully exposed are already out.
But she got the shock of her life one fine morning when an adult moviemaker approached Neha to play the lead role in his film Raat ki Aarzoo.
Though Neha was taken aback by the offer and refused it outright, more offers poured in and she finally realized what she had started by her bikini act in Qayamat.
A furious Neha fumed, "Why do people assume that an actress who sheds her inhibitions, will go to any extent? Why is it that a liberated woman is always fair game?"
Much to the disappointment of the adult filmmakers Neha added furiously that she will never act in B or C grade films since she is not in the film industry to make money by showing off her body.
Neha defended her exposure in Qayamat and ‘Julie’ by saying that these films had a strong storyline that demanded it.
So if all you directors want Neha to expose in your films, approach her with ‘demanding scripts’. Right Neha?
