So far Esha Deol was part of the Tamil version of Mani Ratnam's movie. Now she will play one of the leading ladies in the Hindi version too.
Ratnam appears to have lost confidence in South Indian actress Simran. First he replaced her with Esha in his next movie's Tamil version Aayudha Yezhuthu. And now the man has given Simran's role to Esha for the Hindi version too.
The movie, titled Yuva, stars the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherji.
While the reason for Simran's ouster from the project is still not clear, there are rumors that Ratnam was not happy with the young actress' commitment to the movie. On the other hand, Esha seems to have made quite an impression on the talented director while acting in the movie's Tamil version.
And now she has rightly been awarded one of the leading roles in Yuva, while Simran has been shown the door.
In the movie, Esha is paired opposite Ajay Devgan. She plays an extrovert girl named Radhika.
