Manoj Bajpai has bagged the leading role in veteran filmmaker Mehul Kumar’s new project titled Azaadi: The Freedom.
Manoj is not the kind of an actor who would get candyfloss offers from Bollywood. Given his histrionic skill and range, the actor mostly gets the hard-hitting roles – something he very much looks forward to.
The man is already acting in Mehul Kumar’s Jaago (with Sanjay Kapoor and Raveena Tandon) which is based on a true-life incident that took place in Mumbai.
Impressed with Manoj’s talent, Mehul has now signed him to play the leading role in his new venture Azaadi which will be a semi-realistic film set in contemporary times.
The movie will also have another hero and a heroine who are yet to be finalized. It will go on floors in January next year.
