According to industry sources in Mumbai, J P Dutta's mega war epic film 'LoC-Kargil', featuring many stars, has been passed by the Censor Board without any cuts.
Some dialogues in the film, revolving around Armymen, were removed by Dutta before submitting it to the Central Board of Film Certification, sources said, scotching rumours over the scheduled release of the film on December 25.
The film, with one of the biggest star cast ever assembled in the annals of the Bollywood, has generated unprecedented curiosity all over the country and abroad.
In the US, the film will be shown at Cine Plaza, New Jersey, Naaz and India Movie Centre in California and Oceanside in New York, sources said.
Financiers, distributors and exhibitors have pinned high hopes on the film's success at the box office to give Bollywood a reason to smile at the end of the year.
LoC has been shot for two-month under tough climatic conditions of Leh-Laddakh. Two of his technicians died during the shooting.
'LoC' has a huge star cast, including Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Nagarjuna, Saif Ali Khan, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Manoj Bajpai, Karan Nath, Sanjay Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Raj Babbar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Bikram Saluja, Munish (Armaan) Kohli, Himanshu Malik, Amar Updhayay, Puru Raaj Kumar, Inder Kumar, Mohnish Behl, Ashish Vidyarthi, Kiran Kumar, Ayub Khan, Sudesh Berry, Salil Ankola, Raj Zutshi and Rajeev Goswami.
Produced and directed by Dutta, 'LoC' has lyrics by Javed Akhtar set to the tunes of Anu Malik. Its songs are already making waves in the market. One of the songs Main Kahin Bhi Rahoon... is 13 minutes long.
