Talks are abuzz that superstar Amitabh Bachchan has been added to the cast of director Apoorva Lakhia’s next movie Just Punjabi.
After a lackluster start in Bollywood with Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, Apoorva seems to be in the mood to start a bigger project. For his next movie, Just Punjabi, he has already signed Sanjay Dutt to play the role of a happy-go-lucky cop who travels from India to Canada.
Now it is heard that Lakhiya has approached Amitabh Bachchan to play an important role in the movie. Although things are not finalized formally, the superstar is believed to have given his verbal consent.
Bachchan and Dutt have earlier acted together in Kaante and Hum Kisise Kum Nahin.
Lakhiya has also signed Lara Dutta (who was also the heroine of his debut movie) to head the female cast of the movie.
The movie will go on floors in April next year during the I.I.F.A. Awards.
