The mega-serial ‘Karishma’ was launched with much hype by Sahara Entertainment Television. But even though it had Karishma Kapoor as the leading lady, it failed to get good TRPs.
And now another serial is coming up on the Sahara channel, which has former numero uno Sridevi in the role of the protagonist.
‘Malini Iyer’ is scheduled to go on air on Sahara in mid-January.
While no comparisons can be made in the acting skills of Sridevi and Karishma, it would be interesting to see whether Sridevi comes out successful from her debut on the small screen.
A confident Sridevi is refusing to talk to journalists saying, “Let my work speak for itself.”
