Lately a trend had started in Bollywood that most stars were turning producers. Anil Kapoor too jumped on the bandwagon, but sadly burnt his fingers.
Anil turned producer with Badhai Ho Badhai , in which he played the title role of the obese Raja, who decides to trim himself for the love of Kirti Reddy . The film also had the vivacious Shilpa Shetty in the role of a chatterbox Punjabi girl.
However, the film directed by Satish Kaushik could not bring much ‘badhai’ for Anil and was declared a failure at the box-office.
So the sensible Anil has decided that he won’t be producing any more films, at least for now and will stick to what he is best at, acting that is.
Will other stars, who have also burnt their fingers with failed production ventures, follow suit?
