The date of release of ‘Bride and Prejudice’, Gurinder Chaddha ’s take off from Jane Austin’s popular novel ‘Pride and Prejudice’, has been set.
‘Bride and Prejudice’, which has Aishwarya Rai and Kiwi actor Martin Hendersen in the lead roles, is expected to be released in September by Miramax Films, which has bought the American rights of the Bollywood version of the film.
‘Bride and Prejudice’ has Anupam Kher as Ash’s father and Namrata Shirodkar , Meghna Kothari (who made her forgettable debut in the dud Prem Aggan) and Lucky as Ash’s sisters.
The film may also be released in India simultaneously, though in limited theaters, initially.
