With hardly any hit film to boast in recent times, Manisha Koirala seems to have decided to set the screen on fire with steamy bedroom scenes. Ek Chhoti Si Love Story and Market are recent examples.
So, Manisha more than willingly agreed to play the lead role in Aruna Raje ’s ‘Tum: A Dangerous Obsession’, even though the role required the buxom Koirala girl to share her bed with not one but two men - her husband Rajat Kapoor and lover Karan Nath .
‘Tum: A Dangerous Obsession’ boasts of not one, not even two but three lengthy lovemaking scenes.
Of course, Raje and Manisha insist that the scenes are ‘necessary’ to the script and that they are not vulgar and cheap.
The film ran into trouble with the censors who refused certificate unless 16 cuts were effected, also demanding that the producer shorten the bedroom scenes by about 50%.
Raje however insisted on the scenes and after a fortnight-long battle, the revised version was passed with minor cuts.
‘Tum: A Dangerous Obsession’, which is a murder mystery where Karan plays a fashion photographer who is obsessed with married housewife (Manisha). He in fact fantasies about Manisha even while he's romancing his girlfriend (Netanya Singh), is slated to release on February 20.
Last heard Raje is planning to start a film on sex-education, which will be shot in Khajuraho and she is looking for a newcomer for the lead role. Any ‘bold babe’ interested?
