Less than a month after the release of his production Ek Haseena Thi, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is gearing up to release his next film as producer Ab Tak Chhappan.
Ramu’s film production company is aptly titled Factory. It is perhaps the only production in Bollywood in which films are made at a swift pace and released without any delay.
Next in the pipeline is Ab Tak Chhappan (’56 till now’), that marks the directorial debut of Shimit Amin who had edited Ramu’s Bhoot.
Ab Tak Chhappan is the hard hitting story of a cold-blooded cop called inspector Sadhu Agashe (played by Nana Patekar) who has killed 56 people. He is witty, philosophical and does anything that is ordered to him without the least bit of pricking of conscience.
The film also stars newcomer Nakul Vaid in an important role.
