49th Filmfare Awards in the best actress and best actor category has gone to Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan respectively.
Preity was awarded for her performance in Karan Johar’s Kal Ho Na Ho in which she played a brooding girl who finds happiness and love in a young man played by Shah Rukh Khan .
Hrithik, on the other hand, very much deserved to be the best performer of the year for his critically acclaimed performance as a mentally retarded child transforming into a superhuman after coming in contact with aliens in Koi Mil Gaya.
In fact, Koi Mil Gaya also won awards for the best movie and the best direction.
Hrithik also got the critics choice award for his performance in the film.
