Irfaan Khan , who played the title role in Maqbool, will be seen opposite an American actress in a movie titled ‘Road to Ladakh’.
The film, being produced by Oscar-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss and his movie partner Judith James, will be directed by Ashvin Kumar.
It happened that last year Ashvin had made a 48-minute film, ‘Road to Ladakh’ which received a good amount of attention at the Cannes film festival. After that Dreyfuss’ partner James started negotiating with Kumar to create an expanded version of the film.
So now Kumar ready to make a full-length feature film that combines the thriller and road movie genres.
And who else could be better suited to play the leading role other than Irfaan Khan, who has won international acclaim with ‘The Warrior’ (last year) and ‘Maqbool’ this year.
The screenplay has been finalized and the producers are presently scouting for an American actress to play the leading role opposite Irfaan. Shooting for the movie is expected to start in Ladakh this year.
