With the controversy over the qawwali Noor-un-ullah amicably settled, M F Hussain is looking forward to release his film Meenaxi once again.
Hussain believes that withdrawing Meenaxi from theatres after a mere run of three weeks could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for the movie.
“I will release the movie again. When you withdraw the movie then there is always more interest in it as you have kept people thirsty,” Hussain said in an interview.
The film, starring Tabu was withdrawn after some Muslim groups said a song in it hurt their religious sentiments. The issue has been sorted out and the song will remain in the movie.
Hussain says he plans to release Meenaxi in May in the overseas market, especially in the US, Middle East and Britain.
