This scene was from a song sequence from Yash Raj Film's Hum Tum that stars Saif and Rani opposite each other for the first time.
Although Saif and Rani have featured in J P Dutta's war epic ' LoC-Kargil ' and Karan Johar's ' Kal Ho Naa Ho ' (in which Rani made a marginal appearance), they have never acted as a pair before.
In the movie, Saif plays a cartoonist named Karan who does a strip named Hum Tum. The film tracks Karan's life from a trendy guy in late teens, a laidback man at the age 25 to a responsible and mature man in early thirties. Rani Mukherjee plays his love interest in the film.
For different phases of his character’s life, Saif dons three different looks in the film. The same goes for Rani.
Hum Tum is directed by Kunal Kohli, who directed Mujhse Dosti Karoge earlier.
