Saif Ali Khan is slowly but steadily moving from doing marginal appearances to full-fledged roles in Bollywood.
Saif was seen in a solo hero project Ek Haseena Thi and is also playing the leading role in his forthcoming film Hum Tum. Now it is learnt that Saif has been signed to play one of the male leads in Karan Johar’s songless thriller.
Incidentally, Shahid Kapur was the original choice for the role, but the role eventually went to Saif after Shahid opted out of the movie for the reasons better known to himself.
The yet-to-be-titled movie will be directed by Johar’s erstwhile assistant Soham Shah. Ajay Devgan and John Abraham are the other lead men of this multi-hero project. There is a possibility that Rani Mukherjee might be roped in to play female lead.
