Namrata Shirodkar has a quite marginal role in Tigmanshu Dhulia's recently released movie Charas The director says he couldn't have imagined anyone else other than Namrata playing the role of a hardcore junkie in the movie.
Namrata is not a bit enthusiastic about playing clichéd roles in films. The gorgeous belle rather prefers to do a single film a year rather than doing many inconsequential ones at the same time.
Namrata is presently in the reckoning for her zany and weird portrayal of a drug addict in Charas. The actress says that although her role in the movie is a marginal one, but it does leave an impression.
"My director (Tigmanshu) was very clear about this being a boy's film. But he also said that he could see only me in the role of the junkie... I wonder why! I had to be soft and yet hardened. I'm quite like Zeenat Aman in Hare Rama Hare Krishna," said Namrata speaking about her role in Charas.
Meanwhile, Namrata is eagerly awaiting the release of her Bride and Prejudice in which she plays elder sister to Aishwarya Rai .
