Do you know that Hrithik Roshan was not the first choice of director Farhan Akhtar for his movie Lakshya ? Find out some more interesting facts about the movie.
Farhan had earlier approached Arjun Rampal to essay Hrithik's role in the film. But Arjun could not allot the requisite dates, so the role eventually went into Hrithik's lap, who, Farhaan says, has done complete justice to his role.
In the movie, lead actress Preity Zinta changes two hairstyles and Hrithik changes three. Hrithik starts as a college student in Delhi, so in the first half he has been given a dressed down look wearing late 60s vintage Levis jeans (worn and weathered) with cowboy influences like big belt buckles and cowboy press button shirts. Later part of the movie shows Hrithik's transition into a soldier and a mature man.
Preity plays a TV reporter in the movie and has been given knee-length kurtas with jeans and sneakers.
Some of the important sequences in the film were shot on the locales of Ladakh at minus 8-9 degrees at the approximate height of 17,800 feet above the sea level. The movie was shot so much in the interiors of mountains that the shooting equipment was transported using donkeys and trucks.
During the shoot of the movie in Ladakh, almost all the crew members including superstar Amitabh Bachchan (who plays a marginal role in the movie) and Farhaan himself suffered from the high altitude sickness causing loss of appetite. They had to force-feed themselves for some days. Farhaan even collapsed once while shooting at high altitude.
However, all the labor put in the making of Lakshya seems to have paid off considering the hype it is generating before its release on June 18.
