Although Shah Rukh was piped to the post by Hrithik Roshan for the best actor award (for his performance in the sci-fi movie Koi Mil Gaya ), Kal Ho Na Ho still bagged the Best picture award at the ceremony on Saturday evening.
Preity won the best actress in a leading role, and the film also won the best actress in a supporting role for Jaya Bachchan and the best actor in a supporting role for Saif Ali Khan
Kal Ho Na Ho also claimed all but one award in the music categories with Sonu Nigam winning the trophy for best male playback singer, Javed Akhtar the best lyrics award and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy the best music direction award.
