Amitabh Bachchan is known for his subtle sense of humor and wit. However, the superstar made an exception during the press conference of movie Lakshya when he cracked a joke that was politically incorrect.
At a press conference in Singapore held recently to promote Farhaan Akhtar’s Lakshya, Bachchan involuntarily made a slip in his attempt to crack some humor.
What happened was that while Bachchan was replying to the questions put by mediapersons at the conference, film’s leading actress Preity Zinta kept scribbling on her notepad, inconsiderate of the presence of senior journalists and scribes.
So one journalist suddenly asked the loquacious Zinta girl what masterpiece she was sketching. While Preity was lost for words, Bachchan quickly spoke in, saying that she was making a caricature of the new Prime Minister of India.
While Bachchan said the remark in jest, those present at the conference did not take it jokingly.
